Movie Review: Not Another B Movie (2011)

We've seen so many of the "Not Another" movies since Scary Movie set the stage for the modern parody. Unfortunately, none of them have been good. This time around, we get a different film crew, or video crew, or even VHS crew, possible, taking the title and trying to run with it. I'm sure this isn't any part of the series that is forced upon us every year or two in theaters, since Troma released it. The cast includes Reggie Bannister, Ed Asner, David Faustino, Joe Estevez and Erin Moran. In spite of all of that (ahem) talent, this movie is completely unwatchable.

The movie, which I will continue to call this for lack of a better term, doesn't have any kind of a real story. a writer, director and producer sit around a table while an annoying "actress" that happens to be their waitress pesters them for an audition. The trio discusses scenes from the movie, and that's where the rest of the cast comes in.

This is a lazy way to present an unfinished storyline. I feel like someone just slapped together whatever they could manage and couldn't handle writing a complete movie. Maybe they ran out of money or time. I suppose that's always possible. I've been there. The problem is that what's left is far from entertaining. It just doesn't work. The only thing it has in common with the other "Not Another" movies is that you should do whatever is in your power to avoid watching.
