Movie Review: Night Of The Tentacles (2012, DVD)

This is the first film of Dustin Mills I've ever seen. I've heard of his work before with flicks like Zombie A-Hole & Bath Salt Zombies. I must say I'm really impressed with what he was able to achieve, working no less with a budget of only fifteen-hundred bucks.

The film deals with a fellow by the name of David (Brandon Salkil). A man who's life really isn't going the way he plans. He's a struggling graphic artist who specializes in erotic horror artwork. He lives next door to some neighbors who are constantly causing a ruckus having sex non-stop. Things are looking to good for our dear David. Who's sole pleasure in life in waiting for his down stares pregnant neighbor Esther (Nicole Gerity) to get home. Why? So he listen in, ear to the floor and masturbate to the sounds of her moaning, doing the deed herself. Not much of a silver lining in his life eh? 

Movie Review: Bath Salt Zombies (2013)

The drug known as "Bath Salts" made huge news about a year or so ago after a hobo using the drug went into a rage and chewed off a man's face. For some reason I didn't see this coming, but filmmaker Dustin Mills (Puppet Monster Massacre, Night of the Tentacles) and co-writer/producer Clint Weiler jumped at the chance at making a horror comedy about this odd, very heinous incident. Could it reek of genius... or it could reek of something else? 

Bath salts are a huge hit in the inner city, so much so that an even more potent dose of bath salts has been put together by a chemist (writer/ director Mills). One such junkie, Ritchie (Brandon Salkil, Night of the Tentacles, Zombie A-Hole) gets a hold of of these cigarettes and instead of getting a solid high he transforms into a face-ripping, flesh-eating bath salt zombie.

Prepare To Get Your Flesh Eaten By The "Bath Salt Zombies"!

Bath Salt Zombies is a new horror film directed and co-written by Dustin Wayde Mills (Puppet Monster Massacre, Zombie A-Hole, Ballad of Skinless Pete) and produced and co-written by Clint Weiler of Aggronautix. The movie sensationalizes the recent bath saltepidemic and the attacks surrounding them. “Although the film is somewhat of a black comedy, I wanted to portray the real power of drugs in a horror story… Dustin was able to pull it off with ease,” said Weiler who wrote the treatment for the film and worked on the basic characterization. “It’s off the wall comic book insanity with blood, gore, nudity, martial arts, gunfights, and a mutant jack-chi,” said Mills. “You should check your brain at the door and prepare to have your face melted off.”

Movie Review: Zombie A-Hole (2012)

The Creators of The Puppet Monster Massacre are at it again,  this time plunging you into a surreal world inhabited by a well dressed demonically possessed zombie with a taste for the blood of naked twin girls. Hot on his heels and looking for vengeance is Frank Fulci (Josh Eal), a hard ass religious cowboy with one thing on his mind, taking down the fedora wearing zombie at all costs. Along for the ride is his mild-mannered side kick Castor (Brandon Salkil), who’s twin brother is the man who transformed into the rampaging Zombie A-Hole. Also looking to settle a score is the eye-patch wearing hottie, Mercy (Jessica Daniels), who lost her sister (and her eyeball) to the deranged and perverted fiend. With the help of a strange little creature kept in a box and used for morale support and zombie-hunting tips, they not only must face off against the Zombie A-Hole but his horde of skeletal minions if they are to save the world.
